Making Gingerbread Houses

In my attempt to be a fun mom I figured we should make a gingerbread house.

This was a good idea in theory.

We bought a kit which I thought would be easy.

First of all, they do not provide enough frosting for these things.

Also, with the help of a 2 year old these houses never turn out like on the box.
The people on the box looked like they were having a lot more fun than we actually had.

While the gingerbread house was setting we made gingerbread cookies.

Eden was very helpful with spreading the flower, note my shirt and her apron and the chair, etc.

Even Peanut joined in the fun.
We realized the back of our house looked better than the front so we tried to turn it around.

Note to everyone, do not try to turn a gingerbread house around.

It just collapses.

But that smile is all worth it!
